We’re here to serve you!
The study of elementary science includes planning and safely implementing classroom and outdoor investigations using scientific processes, including inquiry methods, analyzing information, making informed decisions, and using tools to collect and record information, while addressing the major concepts and vocabulary, in the context of physical, earth, and life sciences. (TEA). Suprex Learning of Houston, Texas has tutors who will teach your child the concepts and vocabulary of science, while tapping into his or her innate curiosity of the world around him or her. Whenever possible, our tutors will include a hands-on or experimental activity to demonstrate a scientific process or concept, giving your child the experiential learning opportunities that will grow his or her interest in science. During each session, your child will also learn test-taking strategies that will help him or her perform successfully on the grade-level Science STAAR exam.
Our tutoring program can help your child with his or her Science Fair project by teaching and refining his or her scientific skills. Our tutors will help your child research a scientific topic, design an experiment to test a specific area within the topic, identify the materials and procedures necessary to perform the experiment, perform a scientific experiment following correct safety guidelines, draw conclusions from the results of the experiment, and accurately report the experiment following the correct experimental design. Many of our tutors have extensive experience with Science Fair regulations, either as a science teacher or a judge of local or state Science Fair competitions, enabling your child to have the very best information when working on his or her project.
